Dark Paradise Chapter Twenty Three

Arnav got up and showered, he headed downstairs to go get some breakfast for himself and Khushi, Payal would help Khushi to get ready in the mornings because Arnav knew even though they were married and they had very few barriers between them Khushi wouldn't like it.
"Hari Prakash, get Khushi Bhabi and myself some breakfast, bring it upstairs in about twenty minutes, until then I'm going for a run, okay?" Arnav asked and Hari Prakash nodded as he went into the kitchen hurriedly. Meanwhile Khushi was complaining as Payal helped her to get ready.
"Kya Jiji? Main kohi bachi to nahi hoon? Why does everyone keep treating me like I can't do anything. Tik hai, I can't walk a lot yet but I need practice to sort that out. Uff!" Khushi said as she was incredibly frustrated by everyone treating her like a little child.
"Khushi aisi baat nahi hai! We just want to make sure that you get all the care you need, after all Bhai wants you fit and fine as fast as possible, so why would he make us do things that don't help?" Payal retorted.
"Bhai? So in my absence Arnavji went from Arnavji to Bhai?" Khushi said taking notice of this growing friendship between her sister and her husband.
"Khushi, tum bhi naa! Pagal." Payal said as she helped Khushi back to the bed.
"Jiji! You forgot my sindoor!" Khushi cried out as she realised her maang had been left without colour.
"No I didn't, strict orders from Bhai, its not my job to do it." Payal said shrugging and Khushi gawped.
"Kiske job hai phir? I know he'll hire someone, a proffessional artist just to put my sindoor on. Kyunki "Arnav Singh Raizada har kham ek style se ek class se karta hai." Khushi said as she attempted to impersonate her husband. Arnav stood smugly by the doorway as he witnessed all this. So that's what she thought of him? He cleared his throat slightly and both sisters stopped laughing, Payal smiled on her way out. Arnav walked in and shut the doors, Khushi inhaled sharply, "Iska iraada kya hai?" she thought to herself, Arnav turned and strode towards her his eyes full of an intense longing. He removed his hoodie and revealed his sculpted body and Khushi's eyes widened.
"Arnav, yeh aap....kya kare?" Khushi asked as he began to lean inwards towards her on the bed. Khushi closed her eyes.

She opened them as she felt him run the sindoor through her parting. She looked up at him in surprise, he was going to do that and she thought....she blushed a deep red. Arnav turned his head and whispered in his ear, "Yeh kaam mera hai, yeh mera haq baanta hai Mrs. Raizada." He said, he then raised his hand to move her head towards him and he kissed her lightly on her mouth, gently as he knew she still hadn't fully recovered. Khushi felt lost in the moment, she'd forgotten how good it felt to kiss Arnav, he pulled away and saw the longing on Khushi's face and smirked. "Don't forget that." He said to her as he grabbed a clean shirt and headed for the shower. When he got out, HP was putting the tray on the bed, Arnav waited till he'd gone to slide on the bed next to Khushi who looked flustered. He was wearing another of his crisp white shirts but he hadn't bothered to button it up yet. Arnav grabbed some toast and took a huge bite out of it and then looked at Khushi with confusion.
"What?" He asked confused.
"Aapni shirt toh tik kardo nah. Aada nanga phirda...agar Naniji yah Di neh tumhe iss haal dekha toh kya hota, khabi socha hai aapne?" Khushi asked and Arnav repressed a grin, he was hardly half naked.
"Kyun? They know what I'm like and what my habits are. Waisa aap itne bothered kyun hai?" Arnav asked as he saw Khushi nervously devour two pieces of toast.
"Hum...Humko koi fadak nahi parta! Chaho toh poori ki poori nanga phiro. Mujhe kohi fadak nahi partha!" Khushi said with bits of toast splaying out from her mouth. Arnav grinned at that.
"Tum itne nervous kyun ho?" Arnav asked as he pushed the breakfast tray away and moved in closer to her, wrapping his arms around her. Khushi struggled against Arnav's grip although it was futile, who knew he was so strong?
"Choriye humhe." Khushi said, her eyes cast down. Arnav shook his head. "Kohi ajayenga, please choriye." Khushi said.
"Arre Jaan, itne samhe ke baad aaj tum meri bahoon mein hoon, tora enjoy karne doon." Arnav teased and Khushi's cheeks burned a bright red.

Arnav would have continued to tease Khushi but his phone went off, Khushi had never been so happy to hear his ringtone. Arnav groaned, he got up to answer it.
"Hello." Arnav said gruffly down the phone.
"Hello Mr. Raizada, Dr. Kothari speaking here." The voice said, it took Arnav a moment but he remembered Dr. Kothari was Khushi's doctor at the hospital.
"Yes doctor, what can I do for you?" Arnav asked, his tone changed from annoyed to concerned extremely quickly and Khushi noticed this and sat up.
"We got the results for your wife's blood test, there were some irregularities, nothing serious but we're going to need some more time before we can get back to you with an exact cause for these irregularities. I assure you its nothing serious, it could just be she suffers from Anaemia. But we want to be sure before we give a diagnosis. So I just thought I'd let you know that we need some more time." The Doctor said. Arnav registered this and turned to look at Khushi. Her brow was furrowed and the colour had washed away from her face. She looked frightened as she saw the severity of worry on Arnav's face. Arnav smiled meekly at her and turned away.
"Okay Doctor thanks for letting me know. Let me know as soon as you get the results. Okay. Thank you. Bye." He said and hung up. He buttoned up his shirt, moved the breakfast tray off the bed and onto a table ready for one of the servants to pick up, he was about to leave when Khushi called out to him.
"What did the Doctor say?" She asked and Arnav sighed. He turned and sat on the bed next to Khushi.
"He said that they need some more time with your blood-work to check everything is fine and there's nothing they're missing." Arnav said reassuringly, it was the truth he just left out the irregularities part to stop her from worrying. Khushi looked at him and tried to assess his face, but his face was a picture of calm, that unsettled her slightly.
"Okay." She said reluctantly, Arnav smiled at her and softly caressed her cheek and then rested his forehead against hers.
"I wont let anything happen to you." He said with conviction ringing clear in his voice, Khushi smiled and kissed him lightly on his lips.
